# Serp

The SEO field captures the page title, meta keywords, and meta description used to render the search engine result snippet (SERP). It stores all three as a single object in the database.

## Title and Description (SEO)

#### Settings

The SEO field does not feature any distinctive settings beyond the standard ones. The editor shows a live preview of how the page will appear in search results as the author types, along with progress bars indicating the recommended length for the title (50–60 characters) and description (110–160 characters).

#### AI-assisted suggestions

When **Strife Intelligence** is enabled on the team, the SEO field auto-generates suggestions for the title and description based on the current document's content. Suggestions appear as placeholder text; press `Tab` in an empty field to accept the suggestion, or type over it to write your own.

> AI suggestions require Strife Intelligence to be enabled. Configure it under **Team settings → Strife Intelligence** in the sidebar. Without it, the field works normally but without auto-generated suggestions.

#### Define with JSON

When defining templates using JSON, this field is represented using:

* **Component Name:** `str-serp`
* **Type:** `serp`
* Reference ID: `str-serp|serp`

The value stored in the database is a single object containing all three SEO fields:

#### Live preview

This field does not have a default Strife Web Component. To render SEO metadata in a live preview page, read the `title`, `keywords`, and `description` keys from the stored value and write them into the appropriate `<title>` and `<meta>` tags.
