# Pan in a Canvas

The Strife Canvas offers an easy-to-use Pan feature that helps users focus on critical elements of a preview. To enable this feature using a touchpad, place two fingers on the surface and swipe left/right or up/down; this will pan the Canvas accordingly. If you accidentally move the viewport off the screen, simply press Ctrl+2 (for Windows) or Command+2 (for Mac) to reset the viewport and fit it into your display.

If you would like to pan the viewport using a mouse, simply follow these steps:

1. Locate the hand icon in the Canvas menu.
2. Click on the hand icon to activate the panning function.
3. Press and hold the left mouse button while navigating within the viewport. This will cause the canvas to move in tandem with your mouse movements, allowing you to pan effortlessly across the workspace.
