# Command menu

Strife is made to be used from the keyboard. Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) anywhere to open the command menu, then type to find what you want to do.

The command menu is contextual and role-based: what it offers depends on where in Strife you open it and on your role.

Some choices lead to the next, so a task takes a few keystrokes. To open and edit a page, for example, open the command menu, choose **Open document**, and browse to the page or search for it.
