# What is Strife?

Strife is an online service where editors can create and edit content for their website or any digital service. Our approach differs from a traditional content management system (CMS) in that editors get a live preview of how their content will appear on their website in different resolutions without switching to preview mode. Separating Strife (editor experience) from the web hosting (website) allows us to update Strife without risking any website downtime.

By isolating the editor experience from the actual website, we can also edit content on multiple sites built on different technologies within a single, familiar interface, thus improving daily work, increasing quality and speed, and ultimately delivering more value to the organization without needing extra hours. Additionally, by using web standards, we can ensure future-proofed software and give editors with disabilities the ability to work with content.
