Boosting Go To Market productivity for TTM Energi-produkter
B2B manufacturing companies often face complex challenges when it comes to managing and distributing product information across channels. TTM Energiprodukter, a company with a product-driven business model, needed a platform that could bring together CMS, PIM, and DAM capabilities in one cohesive solution. In 2024, they chose Strife to help streamline their digital ecosystem, improve efficiency, and reduce operational risk.
This case story highlights how TTM transitioned from a fragmented setup to a unified platform and the tangible benefits they’ve seen from consolidating tools, simplifying workflows and enabling consistent, multi-channel product communication.
Background
During 2024 Strife was selected as the B2B manufacturing company TTM Energiprodukter’s platform, combining CMS, PIM and DAM capabilities. As a company with a product driven business model, when it comes to marketing messaging, TTM are dependent on a mixture of structured and consistent product information data as well as flexible editorial content enriched with digital media. Marketing editorials combined with product information also needed to be served over several channels, in this case web, PDF product documents and a product configurator.
As many B2B manufacturing companies, TTM came from a background where their Go To Market workflow were fragmented, flawed by risk of data discrepancies and dependent on handovers between internal and external coworkers using different systems and platforms. The company’s website was built on and managed by Wordpress, product information was stored on locally saved Excel sheets and in an SQL database (manually enriched on web pages and in product configurator) and PDF product sheets was built in InDesign by third party agency. This meant that updates hade to be made on several places and by several people, posing a substantial risk of bottlenecks and errors in the marketing and information process.
Customer objective & project outline
TTM turned to Strife with project targets on increased efficiency and cost savings by consolidating platforms and partners involved in their digital marketing machinery.
The implementation project was initially focused on TTM’s product configurator (Shunt Select). Product information modeling and import of PIM data to Strife was made and Strife was then connected to the frontend (user interface) of Shunt Select. This was followed by a broad and general inventory of product information data and a company wide product information model was designed as a blueprint for data structuring in Strife. Product information data was then imported and enriched in Strife. As a final step, TTM’s website was migrated from Wordpress to Strife.
Since TTM’s product pages on their website contains resources such as PDF documents, Strife was also configurated to automatically generate and publish a new version of a specific product sheet whenever product information for that very same product are updated in Strife. This means that TTM secures that PDF product sheets published on a web product page always contains the same information and data as the product web page.
Project outcome value
Results seen by TTM of transition to Strife includes higher cost efficiencies in digital marketing investments by consolidating key elements, a more unified and streamlined Go To Market workflow and reduced business risk thanks to less risk of product data discrepancies.
